This contoured, padded saddle pocket can be used alone or with the 500 Series saddlebags. The saddle cantle pocket fits the curve of most western and endurance saddles, securely attaches to the front saddle rigging with adjustable straps and has brass grommets for saddle string attachment. Snug attachment guarantees that the bags will not shift.

The outer shell is 1680-denier nylon with a PVC water resistant coating and closed with a weather resistant #10 zipper. The cantle saddle bag is fully lined with nylon and padded with foam to retain its shape and offer protection for your gear.

PREMIUM DURABLE MATERIALS - All TrailMax 500 Series saddle bags, pommel pockets and carriers are constructed from 1680-denier ripstop nylon and have additional nylon liner that provides an additional barrier between your gear and the elements. Saddle bags, pommel pockets and carriers are reinforced along stress points with nylon webbing & having double-stitched seams.

	Very Functional, Very Well Made	4/11/2019
I purchased this as a gift for my wife Christmas and it has proven to be a very well made product and very functional. I also got her the Day Bag saddle bags in the same color, so now she has the functional set. We live and ride in the mountain and canyon country of Colorado and typically do lots of days rides, anywhere from 6-10 miles, usually 3 per month, weather allowing. This is a perfect product for those short day rides and has sufficient room for a large variety of items including, but not limited to, gloves, food, water bottles, hoof pick, rope, camera, etc. It is extremely easy to attach in place and once you run the adjustable straps to either your rear D ring or your front cinch D ring, it remains in place very well. It also has tabs with ringed eyelets on the bottom so that you can run your saddle ties through them to further tie it into place. Additionally it has nylon straps on the bottom that are adjustable which go around the bag and can be used to secure items on top of the bag, such as a coat. We have used this on 6 rides so far, including a few where we were exploring new canyons and getting into extremely thick oak brush and pinyon/juniper thickets. There was never any concern with the bag coming off. Also with the heavy-duty nylon construction there is no concern with the bag ripping. The zippers are nice and heavy-duty also and I am sure the waterproof lining will prove to be a plus in the future. Overall a great product be a very reputable company. No regrets buying this product. If properly cared for it will last us many years of riding.

Love love love this cantle bag. Wasn’t awkwardly shaped or too big. Fit nicely behind my saddle and stayed put the entire time. The straps are plenty long for any saddle (almost too long) but very adjustable. It’s the perfect size for a day ride to carry a lead, rain coat, couple bottles of water and a hoof pick. I plan on buying the insulated saddle bags that match for longer rides. Just super impressed with this brand.
