Great saw for your saddle. 10/26/2024
We ride several hundred miles a year in the Smoky Mountains and I never start a ride without this saw. I have carried this saw on my saddle for over four years now and it has worked great. The scabbard is high quality and has held up very well with regular cleaning and oiling. It has long straps, so it can be secured in several positions on your saddle. I have used the saw to clear many trees from mountain trails that I could not get around and it has supplied wood for a lot of camp fires. The saw does a good job on trees up to about 12 inches, but larger trees become more difficult, especially hard wood. The teeth have stayed sharp, but they can pack up with saw dust on green trees. The only improvement in my opinion, would be to add raker teeth to help clear the saw dust from green trees. Also, add a drop of blue loctite to the screws in the handle to keep them from coming loose.
